FEEDBACK FRIDAY

=====
Dear Editors:

As an owner of nails (they aren't overly long, but they're not short, either), I have a solution for Ray's problem.

He complained that his nails hurt whenever he hits the keyboard. Since I have nails, I've trained myself to touch the keyboard with my finger pads (as opposed to touching the keyboard with my nails). Presto, no pain at all. Since then, I've found many women do the same thing I do. So, Ray...use your finger pads!

Sincerely,
Michele Ketcham

Dear Editors:

In Raymond Luczak's essay "WHICH REMINDS ME," I was truly intrigued by his flair of words in written English. He wrote: "That's where commingling words and useful phrases from other languages help. They are each language's badly needed transfusions of blood and culture so that in spite of the initial barrier of not understanding each other's language, we actually become closer in ways that we can't always explain." This definitely brought back to me a flood of memories from the year of 1970 when I toured Europe for 28 days. The use of gestures in order to convey what was wanted helped. The Europeans' form of gestural hand movements and tone of vocal expression had their own meshing form of 'oneness' along with my own expressions. In other words, both foreigners conversing in gestures only opened up a sense of "commonality." That we are humans with creative minds when it all comes down to plain ol' communication!

Dear Editors:

Karen Christie's piece is lovely! I so much enjoyed reading this. I don't know the work she's writing about--but I loved reading what she'd written.
