=====
Deaf cartoonist Adrean Clark has a mini-comic out! "The Lemon: An Automobile Fable" is a very short, fun comic that turns the driver-car relationship upside down. Get your own copy for only $2.50 at http://www.clercscar.com/books/lemon.html

LAST NIGHT
Timothy Cook
Lines: 22
[Poem]

i was sitting on a bench
at the corner
waiting for help to get across the street
a woman wearing cleavage
and a short skirt
sits down beside me
my vision suddenly improves!
she smiles at me
i smile back
she says something
i tell her i am deaf
this woman knows how to communicate!
she points to her crotch
and
makes the universal sign for money
i shake my head sadly
and
ask her if she will help me across the street
i am think as i ask
prostitutes are not known for big hearts
but she helps me and we hold hands
as we cross the street

Timothy Cook is a deaf-blind native of Vermont now living in Watertown, Massachusettes.
